On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, a prominent leader of Jama’at e Islami, has launched a “True Women Empowerment Program” to counter the “vulgar slogans” of the Aurat March. The program aims to empower women in Karachi, both housewives and working women, through a series of initiatives and activities.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman believes that the Aurat March, which is held annually on International Women’s Day, has lost its true purpose and has become a platform for promoting “vulgarity and obscenity.” He justifies that the slogans and messages of the Aurat March do not represent the true aspirations of women in Pakistan.
The “True Women Empowerment Program” launched by Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman focuses on practical initiatives that aim to empower women in Karachi. These initiatives include providing vocational training to women, promoting entrepreneurship, and facilitating access to microfinance for women-owned businesses. The program also aims to improve women’s health and education by setting up medical camps and educational programs.
In a press conference, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stated that the “True Women Empowerment Program” is a response to the growing demand for a more positive and constructive approach to women’s empowerment. He emphasized the importance of empowering women in all spheres of life, including the workplace, the home, and the community.
