LAHORE: The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has announced the successful completion of training programs for officers and officials, including deed writers, on the e-registration of property records.
The initiative aims to ensure the secure transfer and preservation of public properties while enhancing the transparency and efficiency of the process.
According to PLRA Director General Saira Omer, the training has been conducted in districts including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sahiwal, Multan, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur, with the final sessions scheduled for DG Khan and Faisalabad divisions next week.
With e-registration implemented in 90% of the districts, the manual registration of property transactions has been replaced by mandatory adherence to prescribed procedures.
The automated e-registration process enables citizens to enter registration details on a computer either personally or through a deed writer and submit them online to the sub-registrar.
This initiative ensures the security of revenue records and facilitates the smooth transfer of public properties while promoting transparency in the system.
